Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage the administrative and operational activities of occupational health services.
  2. Assure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations
  3. Responsible for securing and developing all records, equipment, and programs related to occupational health services.
  4. Collaborate with outside resources for program development, such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, regulatory agencies, etc.
  5. Responsible for assuring the appropriate access and utilization of healthcare services
  6. Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines.
  7. Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory and client requirement; such as DOLE OSHA.
  8. Administer the company’s Drug-Free Workplace Program.
  9. Assist with the accident investigation program to identify root cause analysis of all incidents and near misses.
  10. Provide appropriate case management
  11. Manage all cases to facilitate productivity, assuring appropriate care and return to work, which includes employees’ compensation, short- and long-term disability cases.
  12. Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work, maintain OSHA records/ reports and employee medical files.
  13. Assist departments with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty.
  14. Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Operations, and Human Resources to develop operations, programs, and services by providing content expertise.
  15. Responsible for direct and indirect supervision of health services staff.
  16. Keep and verify employee’s request for reimbursement of expenses for medicines purchased and submits list to HRD for approval.
  17. Account stocks of medicines coming from Production and those purchased for employees’ use.
  18. Guide pregnant employees in filing maternity notification, submitting doctor’s medical certificate indicating estimated date of confinement. Submits written memos to manager concerned indicating start of maternity leave of their employees to enable them to get replacements.
  19. Monitor the pre-employment physical and dental examinations. Chest X-ray Stool Urinalysis Blood Chemistry Hepatitis B Test Screening Color blindness test FBS SGOT Cholesterol
  20. Arrange the annual physical examinations of regular employees: X-ray, stool, urinalysis and hemoglobin count Executive check-up of managers in recommended hospital. Submits report on unusual findings to Corporate Human Resource Manager.
  21. Prepare monthly report of illness and daily treatments, man-hours lost with their peso equivalent, family planning projects and summary of home visits for submission to the Corporate Human Resource Manager.
  22. Act as Food and Safety Committee member.
  23. Assist company doctors and dentist during consultation visits.
  24. Perform other functions which may be required from time to time by superior.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a PRC-licensed nurse At least 5 years experience
