Job Description:
- Initiates surveillance of patients suspected of HAI and those confirmed with communicable/ infectious diseases.
- Helps in monitoring and investigating practices of health care workers.
- Contributes to the development and implementation and monitoring of infection control policies and procedures.
- Initiates audit, research/quality improvement on relevant issues to improve patients and health care workers’ safety.
- Prepares monthly/ semi-annual/ annual reports of communicable/ infectious cases results of audit.
- Provides training and education to nursing personnel and other allied health professionals.
- Acts as hospital coordinator in reporting notifiable diseases to concerned government health agencies.
- Acts as secretary of the committee during meetings.
- Shall ensure that all policies, protocols, and guidelines are Strictly followed by CMC-HCW, patients and visitors/watchers by monitoring the following:
- Compliance to the use of PPE, social distancing, cough etiquette and Hand Hygiene
- Readiness and compliance to donning and doffing practices
- Waste management
- Conducts hand hygiene surveillance and compliance report
- Vaccination and immunization of HCW as required by Industrial Clinic.
