Pain management nurses look after patients who are suffering from long-term or chronic pain as a result of medical issues or trauma. These nurses use a variety of measures to help their patients manage pain, including medicines, exercise, physical therapy, diet and nutrition, and stress management techniques. Pain management nurses work in rehabilitation centers, sports medicine clinics, hospitals, and private practice doctor’s offices.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • NCLEX-RN
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Registered Nurse-Board Certified credential in the specialty of Pain Management
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
