Home Health Nurses work for home healthcare agencies to provide at-home care to patients. Day-to-Day tasks include performing administrative tasks as well as routine in-patient care

Responsibilities:

Assessment and Skill Observation Wound Care and Dressing Changes Injection Administration IV Monitoring Tube Feeding Catheter Insertion and Monitoring Tracheostomy Care Medication Administration Patient and Caregiver Education Evaluate the patient’s needs Plan and implement care strategies based on the individual needs of the patient Oversee and direct CNAs, LVNs, and other supporting staff Case management Make Suggestions to improve safety of the home Work alongside and communicate with doctors and family members Assess the Patient’s response to treatment and adjust as needed

Qualifications:

  • BS in Nursing (BSN)
  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN)
